That's simply because all people have nature in themselves.
And tools are largely connected with the joy of people.
The SHIMANO ITALY mission is the example of the strong connection between Man and Nature. This concept has been strongly taken into consideration in the design of the new Shimano Italy offices, especially in the Canteen/Cafeteria space where the goal was to guarantee the highest comfort to the employees. This space is projected to be a restoration, conviviality, and relaxing room for the employees as well as for customers and suppliers. The large area has become a multifunctional space, set up with comfortable seats, painted poufs, and tables close to water, snack and coffee dispensers, high and low oak tables with Company’s colours seats. The oak slat dividers, furnished with books and company catalogues as well as green plants, subdivide the Canteen into subspaces for a comfortable perception of the location.
The LVT flooring of the Canteen and Cafeteria works as the whole area background, with the schematic shapes of the key element of Shimano's history: the freewheel 3.3.3.
The company mission "Closer to nature, closer to people” - also our mission throughout the project - can be found on the stabilized green moss wall that is the background of the entire space.
